Wheat and Gluten Free
Wheat- and gluten-free diets need special understanding. If a recipe is wheat-free, that does not necessarily mean it is gluten-free; it may contain rye, barley, or other ingredients that are not gluten-free. The ingredients in these recipes are in line with the recommendations from the Celiac Disease Foundation and the Gluten Intolerance Group. If you purchase foods for these recipes, you must read the label every time, since manufacturers can change ingredients. For food to remain wheat- or gluten-free, it must not have any contact with gluten-containing grains or be contaminated with such grains during preparation.
